The 30-minute School Questionnaire covers the following topics:
- Principal background (gender, age, length of time as principal)
- School demographics (e.g. enrolment, urban/rural location)
- Level of school autonomy in management of staffing, curriculum/assessment and resources
- Students’ opportunity to participate in activities relating to civics and citizenship education
- Students’ and parents’ participation in school activities
- Perceptions regarding disciplinary climate
- Perceptions regarding staff and students’ sense of belonging
- Availability of various amenities in the local area
- Perceptions regarding social tension/cohesion in the school and local community
- Views on the teaching of CSPE generally and in the school
