Data Protection & General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has implications for any data processing activities where personal data is processed. This has implications for how the ERC works with schools, with individuals and bodies working in the education sector, with Government Departments etc. where personal data is shared. Subject Access Request (SAR)
The GDPR states that individuals have the right to access information about their personal data from an organisation. Information on the ERC’s SAR policy and the SAR Form are available below.
Note: Students, or parents of students (under the age of 18), requesting information on behalf of their children, are advised to submit their SAR Form via the school the student is currently attending. This is to help us to protect your data by assisting with validating that the request for information is coming from the correct person.
