Gerry has been a Research Fellow at the ERC since 1993 and has made significant contributions to standardised testing and large-scale national and international assessments. Currently, he is working on the Gaeltacht Schools Recognition Scheme evaluation study. He holds a B. Ed. (NUI St Patrick’s College), an M. S. Ed. in Reading (Western Illinois University), and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction/Literacy (University of Texas at Austin).
