Item writers are required to source/construct texts and/or develop test questions for educational assessments at primary and post-primary levels. A Bachelor’s degree is required, while experience in item writing or developing curricula or tests is desirable. Opportunities exist in the following content areas:
- English Language (Reading, Spelling) (Primary)
- Mathematics (Primary)
- Abstract Reasoning (Post-primary)
Following interview, successful applicants will be expected to attend workshops at the Educational Research Centre in June 2016 (to be scheduled outside school hours), and to complete the work off-site between June and August 2016. Payment (hourly rate) will be in line with qualifications and experience.
