Three committees assisted the ERC with NA 2009. A subject-specialist Maths Advisory Group advised on the development of the maths test, on questionnaire items relating to maths teaching practices, and on interpretation of the data, while a Reading Advisory Group performed a similar function for reading. A National Advisory Committee, consisting of representation from the education partners, advised on the overall project. Members of each committee are listed below.
